Dr. Claudia Abreu LopesĀ is a Research Lead in Digital Health at the United Nations University (UNU) Institute for Global Health, where she examines innovative research and policy approaches to addressing health inequities. She is a social psychologist with an interdisciplinary background spanning behavioural science, digital research methods, and public health. With over two decades of experience across academia, NGOs, and the United Nations in Europe, Africa, and Asia, she has held senior research leadership roles driven by a commitment to rigorous, policy-relevant research. Her work focuses on the social and digital determinants of health, with particular emphasis on gender equality, digital inclusion, and digital security.
