Carlo is a public health epidemiologist working in health emergencies and immunisation. He has contributed to multiple public health projects in select Southeast Asian countries where he engaged with hard-to-reach and conflict-affected communities to improve vaccine uptake and strengthen health emergency preparedness and response capacities. Most recently, he served as an advisor to the Migration Health Unit of UN-IOM Philippines, advancing health outcomes of migrants and populations in fragile settings. He is currently completing his doctoral degree at The University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and Health, where his research examines barriers, facilitators, and inequalities in childhood immunisation across Southeast Asia.
