Nithin Ramakrishnan is a Senior Researcher at Third World Network (TWN), an independent, not-for-profit international research and advocacy organization focused on development issues, developing countries, and North-South affairs. Holding a postgraduate degree in International Law, he actively follows negotiations in various international forums such as the WHO, FAO, and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Nithin is a civil society representative in the Open-Ended Working Group for the Enhancement of the Multilateral System under the International Treaty for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. Additionally, he represents TWN in the Informal Advisory Group (IAG) on Benefit-Sharing from the Use of Digital Sequence Information on Genetic Resources, working under the auspices of the CBD. He has been closely observing the WHO negotiations to amend the International Health Regulations and also for the new Pandemic Agreement from their inception.
Before joining TWN, Nithin taught International Law and Global Governance at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, Deemed to Be University, Kochi.
